Meet Dr Aodhan Docherty – Cosmetic and Implant Dentist at About Smiles Circular Quay

Dr Aodhan Docherty is the Principal Dentist at About Smiles Circular Quay, with more than 12 years of clinical experience focused on aesthetic dentistry. His practice is centred around natural-looking porcelain veneers, composite bonding, clear aligner treatment and dental implants. He graduated from the University of Sydney with Honours and the University Medal, has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in implant and orthodontic dentistry, and is a co-author of the international textbook Practical Procedures in Implant Dentistry.

Alongside his clinical practice, Aodhan is deeply involved in dental education and has trained more than 1,800 dentists across Australia. In his own practice, he has personally completed more than 1,500 porcelain veneer cases, together with complex aesthetic and restorative treatment.

His approach is conservative and preservation-first: keeping as much natural tooth as possible, making decisions with you, never for you, and creating results that feel natural, refined and individual to the person wearing them.

Away from dentistry, Aodhan enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, staying active and travelling.
