Dr Mark Lu graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Graduate Degree in Dentistry with first class honours. He has worked as a health professional for many years which has enhanced his understanding of a patient’s needs, and he practises all aspects of general dentistry, with a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. He is experienced working with patients of all ages and particularly enjoys paediatric dentistry.
From his own childhood painful dental experiences including root canal therapy without local anaesthetic, he has developed a deep understanding of two things: firstly how much a patient suffers when they experience tooth ache and, secondly, the vital importance of daily oral hygiene. Since the day he started practising dentistry, he has been determined to deliver pain free dentistry.
Dr Lu speaks both English and Mandarin fluently and takes the time to discuss treatment options comprehensively with all of his patients so that they understand the pros and cons of these options before making any decisions. He is happy to answer any questions, taking into consideration both function and aesthetics, and his goal is always to provide optimal oral care with long term functional stability. He takes great pleasure in his patients’ satisfaction and beautiful smile after treatment.
